Doug Lawrence is a talented instrumentalist, musical director, conductor, bandleader and clinician who has performed and recorded with such diverse artists as Benny Goodman, Aretha Franklin, Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, Sarah Vaughan, Stevie Wonder, and the 17-time Grammy Winning World Famous Count Basie Orchestra, with whom Doug presently tours the world playing lead tenor sax.

Doug has just returned from a 2 week tour of Japan with The Count Basie Orchestra. Upcoming performances include the Doug Lawrence Quartet at the Outpost Performance Space in Albuquerque, NM, Blues Alley in Washington D.C with the Basie Band and the new Broadway show "Come Fly Away" in New York City at the Marquis Theatre.
